The decor inside is sophisticated, with subtle lighting to set the ambiance for memorable evenings. The New Menu: A Fusion of Flavours During my recent visit, I tried their latest menu addition, the Seafood Boil Jollof . This creative twist on Ghanaian jollof is a must-try for seafood lovers. It comes with a mix of prawns, mussels, squid, octopus, sausage, and eggs. Priced at GHC 475 for a single plate and GHC 800 for a sharing platter (serves 2-3), it’s perfect for group dining. The seafood is fresh, tender, and pairs well with the mildly spiced jollof rice. This dish offers a blend of textures and flavours, making it ideal for those who appreciate a hearty, flavour-packed meal. - La Maison Restaurant & Lounge - French Fine Dining in Accra, Ghana
Are you looking to have a fine dining experience in Accra? Not the usual meals we eat at restaurants? PS: Check out La Maison New Location Well let me tell you about this one 👇🏾 La Maison Restaurant and Lounge, or 'The Home' in French, is a fine dining spot situated on Volta Street in the Airport Residential Area. Just a 5-minute drive from Accra Mall & the Airport, it opens its doors from Tuesdays to Sundays, welcoming guests from 1 pm to 1 am. La Maison hosts various weekday activities, including Sunday brunch and live band performances on Wednesdays. La Maison Accra has both indoor and outdoor seating, featuring a pool. Indoors, you'll find an elegant decor with a chic, modern touch, while the outdoor area exudes a homely, cozy vibe with a garden setting. The subtle indoor lighting creates an intimate and cozy atmosphere, making it an ideal choice for a romantic evening or a gathering with friends. La Maison's menu offers a variety of dishes. Must-try items include the "Devilled Eggs" with a sweet-sour taste that melts in your mouth, the tender and uniquely smoky "Lamb Chops," and the exclusive "White Castle" available only on Sundays. During my visits, the staff's commendable friendliness stood out, creating a warm atmosphere. However, during the second visit, the wait time for our orders was about 40 minutes, which was slightly disappointing considering we only ordered calamari and devilled eggs. ( I informed the manager though & she promised me the issues would be addressed) My overall dining experience at La Maison Restaurant and Lounge was delightful, earning it a 7/10 rating. The ambiance scored a solid 9/10. Keep in mind that the menu is a bit pricey, with an estimated cost from Ghc 300 per person for food and drinks. If you're looking for place with great ambiance and unique meals, La Maison Restaurant and Lounge should be on your list, especially this December. Walk-ins are welcome, but for private events, a 72-hour reservation is required for the private rooms. - Our Story | TravelBites Ghana
The TravelBites Ghana Story As a child, I travelled from Wa to Accra almost every holiday to visit family. That 14-hour journey showed me the beauty of Ghana—miles of changing landscapes, each more captivating than the last. Looking back, I wonder if that’s where my love for travel really began. It was on those long trips that I realised there’s so much more to Ghana than just Accra. In July 2019, I decided to create my first piece of content for what would later become TravelBites Ghana. It was a video about Legon Botanical Gardens , and little did I know, it would ignite a spark in me. I felt the urge to share more, to explore more, and to let people know about the amazing destinations our country has to offer. By 2021, I was ready to take things up a notch. My first big trip for TravelBites Ghana was a tour through the Northern and Savannah Regions , experiencing Ghana’s rich culture and stunning landscapes. But it was in December 2022, after I had graduated from university and started my national service, that I saved up and travelled even more extensively across the country. That’s when TravelBites Ghana truly became my dream. I created this platform to show you that Ghana has so much to offer, far beyond what most people know. Whether it’s hidden places to visit or the best spots to grab a bite to eat, my goal is to share these experiences with you and help you discover the beauty of Ghana in new ways. So, why TravelBites Ghana? Because I believe there’s always something new to explore, and I want to be the one to guide you there. This isn’t just a blog—it’s an invitation to see Ghana through my eyes. Let’s explore Ghana together. Follow along for travel guides, tips, and stories that inspire your next adventure.
